Fans will have 10 opportunities to catch the Demon Deacons in action during the regular season at Kentner Stadium.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest field hockey and head coach Jennifer Averill have announced their 2025 fall schedule, playing 10 contests at Kentner Stadium, as part of an 18-match regular season.
"It's always exciting when the schedule drops to give our players and fans something to circle on the calendar," head coach Jen Averill said. "Competing in the premier field hockey conference in the country in the ACC, we're facing elite competition every week, and that's exactly the kind of challenge that drives our program forward. We've been diligent in our offseason training. I'm excited to see how much our team has grown from last year when we hit the field against Iowa."
Two exhibition matches at Kentner Stadium unofficially begin the season on August 19 against North Carolina and August 23 against Duke.
The season will officially begin with the ACC/Big Ten Challenge in Iowa City, Iowa, where Wake will face Iowa and Michigan on Friday, August 29 and Sunday, August 31.
The Deacs stay on the road to open September, taking on Davidson on the 5th, before opening the 2025 home slate against Longwood on September 7.
Wake Forest will head to VCU for a non-conference clash with the Rams on Friday, September 12, before returning home to host UMass Lowell on Sunday.
Wake opens ACC play on the road against Syracuse on Friday, September 19, before coming back to Kentner Stadium to host Boston College on Sunday, September 21.
To close out the month, the Deacs face North Carolina on September 26. Following a week off, they kick off October with a road matchup at Louisville on the 3rd.
The Demon Deacons will play their next five matches at home in Kentner Stadium, hosting Miami (OH) on October 5, Queens on October 10, Delaware on October 12, Stanford on October 17, and close the homestand against California on October 19.
Wake Forest wraps up the home schedule against App State for Senior & Graduates Day on October 26, before the Demon Deacons end the regular season on the road at Virginia on October 31.
