Fans will have 10 opportunities to catch the Demon Deacons in action during the regular season.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest field hockey program has announced its 2026 schedule, a competitive slate featuring early-season tests, a challenging road swing and a full Atlantic Coast Conference lineup.
"We're excited about the balance and competitiveness of this schedule," head coach Jen Averill said. "It will challenge us right away and prepare us for the demands of ACC play. Our team is looking forward to the opportunity to compete against some of the best programs in the country and continue building throughout the season."
The Demon Deacons open the campaign with a pair of home contests, welcoming Iowa on Aug. 28 before hosting Michigan on Aug. 30 for the annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The opening weekend presents an immediate opportunity for Wake Forest to measure itself against two traditionally strong Big Ten opponents.
September continues at home as Wake Forest faces Ohio on Sept. 6, followed by a matchup against VCU on Sept. 11. The Deacs then hit the road for the first time in 2026, traveling to App State on Sept. 13 to begin a three-game road swing.
Conference-caliber competition awaits shortly after, as Wake Forest heads north to take on Delaware on Sept. 18 before a marquee nonconference showdown at Maryland on Sept. 20.
ACC play begins at home on Sept. 25 when Duke visits Kentner Stadium, followed by another conference clash against Syracuse on Sept. 27 to close out the month.
October opens with back-to-back road contests, starting with an ACC matchup at Boston College on Oct. 2. Wake Forest then steps out of conference play briefly to face Harvard on Oct. 4.
The Demon Deacons continue their cross-country stretch with a West Coast swing, traveling to Cal on Oct. 9 and Stanford on Oct. 11 in a pair of conference matchups.
Returning home, Wake Forest resumes ACC play against Virginia on Oct. 16 before hosting Davidson on Oct. 18.
The final road trip of the regular season comes on Oct. 23, as the Deacs travel to North Carolina for a key conference showdown.
Wake Forest closes out the home slate with back-to-back games, hosting James Madison on Oct. 25 before wrapping up the regular season against Louisville on Oct. 30.
