This marks the third consecutive year that at least five athletes have been named to the All-ACC Academic Team.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The ACC has announced its All-ACC Academic Team with five Demon Deacons receiving nods for their effort on the course and in the classroom: graduate Sky Sload, senior Carolina Chacarra, junior Anne-Sterre den Dunnen, sophomore Macy Pate, and freshman Chloe Kovelesky all earned the honor, the conference announced Tuesday.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests to be considered for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team.
This past season, the group helped send the Wake Forest women's golf program to its 7th-consecutive NCAA Championship appearance, as well as its first regional title since 1995. Led by senior Carolina Chacarra, the Deacon squad recorded top-five finishes in 12 out of 14 tournaments during the season, including a runner-up performance at the ACC championship.
Earning All-ACC Academic honors for the fourth year in a row, Chacarra closed out the 2024-25 season with the fifth-lowest scoring average in program history after securing two individual wins and six top-five finishes. Winston-Salem native Macy Pate highlighted her sophomore year with a runner-up finish at the Charles Schwab Fall Collegiate at five under par. The 2024 ANWA Invitee carded 18 rounds at or under par with a low round of 69 three times during the fall and spring seasons.
In her rookie campaign, Chloe Kovelesky saw back-to-back conference nods after being named to the 2025 All-ACC team, as well as a spot on the WGCA All-American Honorable Mention team. Kovelesky recorded the team's second-lowest scoring average behind Chacarra, with an individual win at the Lady Bulldogs Invitational and a third-place finish at the NCAA Lubbock Regional.
Earning her third career All-Academic honor was Dutch-native Anne-Sterre den Dunnen, who completed her junior year ranked No. 66 on Scoreboard and carded her lowest scoring average of her collegiate career. Graduate Sky Sload wrapped her collegiate career out in Carlsbad, Calif., with her best outing for the Deacons at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup and a season-low round of 69 during the third round of the Moon Golf Invitational.
