Three-time Olympian Lauren Crandall will lead the clinic, set to take place at 9 a.m. on September 7 at Kentner Stadium.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest Field Hockey, in partnership with the USA Field Hockey Foundation, is proud to host the Pave the Way to LA Youth Clinic — a day of elite coaching, inspiration, and support for Team USA on the road to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

Designed for youth athletes ages 8–18, the clinic will take place at Wake Forest University and offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train with some of the sport's most decorated athletes, including Olympians, World Cup players, Pan American medalists, and U.S. National Team members. Many of the coaches and mentors are proud Wake Forest alumni who have represented the United States on the world stage.
"This is more than just a clinic," said head coach Jen Averill. "It's a chance to learn from the best, be inspired by strong women role models, and support the future of U.S. field hockey."
Participants will rotate through high-level skills stations, team-building activities, strategy sessions, and small-sided games.
The clinic also includes a college game day experience, as attendees will stay to watch Wake Forest take on Longwood for the Demon Deacons 2025 home opener at Kentner Stadium.
Following the game, all attendees are invited to a post-game Meet & Greet and Autograph Signing with clinic staff and athletes from both teams who have represented the U.S. at national and international levels.
All proceeds from the event directly benefit the U.S. Women's National Team and their training efforts ahead of the 2028 Olympic Games.
