Demon Deacons Release Fall Matchups

The Wake Forest baseball team will look for its fifth-straight NCAA Regional appearance in 2026.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Battling a pair of NCAA Regional Finalists from a year ago, the Wake Forest baseball team will face NC State and West Virginia this fall, along with six intrasquad scrimmages at David F. Couch Ballpark. 
 
The Deacs open the fall competition slate traveling to Fredericksburg, Va. to face Big Four Rival NC State on Saturday, Oct. 11 at Virginia Credit Union Stadium, home of the Washington Nationals Single-A Affiliate, the Fredericksburg Nationals. The Wolfpack are coming off a 35-21 season that ended in the Auburn Regional Final.  
 
Wake Forest returns home on Sunday, Oct. 26 to face West Virginia at The Couch. The Mountaineers finished the season 44-16, advancing to the 2025 Baton Rouge Super Regional after sweeping through the Clemson Regional. 
 
The Deacs will also hold scrimmages at The Couch during their fall practice session on the following dates:
Saturday, Sept. 27 - First pitch 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 4 - First pitch 3:30 p.m. 
Sunday, Oct. 5 - First pitch 1:30 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 18 - First pitch 3:30 p.m. 
Sunday, Oct. 19 - First pitch 1:30 p.m. 
Saturday, Oct. 25 - First pitch TBD
First pitch times are subject to change.
