The proceeds will directly support the Trinity Center’s financial aid program.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest men's soccer is proud to announce that its We Are Wake Mental Health Awareness Match jersey auction raised $2,130 in support of the Trinity Center, a Winston-Salem–based organization dedicated to providing exceptional mental health care to the community.
During the Sept. 22 victory against Liberty, the Demon Deacons wore special green jerseys to promote mental health awareness. Each jersey was made available for auction, with proceeds directly benefiting the Trinity Center's Financial Aid Program, which provides low-cost therapy to uninsured and underinsured individuals.
"Wake Forest University reminds you that mental health is an essential component of overall wellness," executive director of the Trinity Center Josh Ziesel said. "If you find yourself struggling to manage your stress or emotions effectively, talking to a therapist can help equip you with the tools you need to live a more peaceful, mentally healthy life. Trinity Center is a nonprofit counseling practice in downtown Winston-Salem dedicated to the mission of improving lives by providing exceptional care with openness, hope, and faith. Trinity Center believes that all people, regardless of ability to pay, deserve access to mental health support. Thank you for your attention and go Deacs!"
The $2,130 raised will enable the Trinity Center to expand access to essential services, ensuring more individuals receive the care and support they need.
Wake Forest Athletics thanks all fans and supporters who participated in the auction and joined in the mission to promote openness, hope, and faith in mental health care.
