WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – In spite of posting its best offensive performance in conference play, the Wake Forest women's basketball team dropped a home contest, 95-77 to the NC State Wolfpack, Thursday night at LVJM Coliseum.
The Demon Deacons (12-7, 2-5 ACC) came out of the gates with a fury, as they tied the most points scored in a quarter in program history, with 33 against the Wolfpack (12-6, 6-1 ACC). How It Happened
"I loved our effort out there today. I'm not satisfied with losing but there are a lot of positives out of this game. Grace Galbavy came in and didn't miss. She's been doing this in practice and glad it came in a game. We came out ready to go with a program record 33 points. I am proud of how we came out, especially coming off a long road trip to the west coast. We had five in double digits. This is one of the best teams in the league and we played with them for 40 minutes. We need to keep shooting like that. Just have to clean up the glass better and continue to level up into a big one on the road on Sunday. We are ready to come back tomorrow to get prepared for Clemson." - Megan Gebbia
