Wake Forest Hosts Virginia Tech in ACC Home Opener

The Demon Deacons have won 29 ACC games at home since the 2021-22 season, tied for third-most in the conference during that span.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's basketball team will host its ACC home opener on Saturday afternoon, facing Virginia Tech at LJVM Coliseum. 

Tip-off for the contest is scheduled for 12 p.m. and will air nationwide on the ACC Network. 

Last Time Out
The Demon Deacons dropped their ACC opener on the road to NC State on Wednesday afternoon, 70-57.

Junior forward Omaha Biliew led the way for the Demon Deacons, as he recorded his first career double-double, registering career-highs in both points (18) and rebounds (10) against the Wolfpack. The Waukee, Iowa, native went 6-for-10 from the field, including 3-for-6 from three-point range, while also tallying a block.

Sophomore guard Juke Harris added 17 points and six rebounds, as well as three assists and a pair of steals. 

Meanwhile, junior guard Myles Colvin finished the contest with 13 points and two rebounds. The Indianapolis native also matched a career and season high with a team-best four steals.

Defend Home Court 
Wake Forest men's basketball has built one of college basketball's premier home court advantages over the last five seasons, as the Demon Deacons have collected a 68-12 record at LJVM Coliseum since 2021—tied for the fifth-most home wins nationally over that period. 

Twenty-nine of those home victories have come in ACC action, tied for the third-most in the conference during that span.

Sophomore guard Juke Harris continues to pace the Demon Deacons in scoring this season, as he's reached a double-digit scoring total in all 14 games while ranking sixth in the ACC in points per game (19.7).

Additionally, Harris is one of only four ACC players – and one of just 10 nationally – averaging 19 points and 6 rebounds per game this season, joining Duke's Cameron Boozer, Miami's Malik Reneau and North Carolina's Caleb Wilson. 

Nationally, Harris also ranks seventh amongst all sophomores in points per game.
