- Women's Basketball:
- Wake Forest competed in two hard fought contests in ACC action this past week against NC State and Clemson.
- Against the Wolfpack, the Demon Deacons tied a program-best with 33 points in the first quarter while having five players finish in double figures scoring.
- Against the Tigers, Aurora Sørbye dominated from three, with 12 of her career-best 16 points coming from beyond the arc. Additionally, Grace Oliver recorded her first double-double of the year and second of her career of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
- The Deacs return to LJVM Coliseum this Sunday for the annual Play 4 Kay game against Virginia Tech.
- Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
- Wake Forest competed in two hard fought contests in ACC action this past week against NC State and Clemson.
- Women's Tennis:
- The Demon Deacons opened the 2026 campaign this past weekend highlighted by a home victory over ETSU on Monday.
- The Deacs defeated the Bucs 5-2 as Wake Forest clinched the doubles point before Krystal Blanch, Nevena Carton, Evie Oxford and Sankavi Gownder earned victories in singles action.
- Wake Forest will head to Greenville, South Carolina, to take on the Furman Paladins this Saturday, Jan. 24. The Deacs are 31-1 all-time against Furman and have beaten the Paladins in each of the last five seasons. Last year's result was a 4-1 win in Winston-Salem.
- First serve is set for 11 a.m.
- The Demon Deacons opened the 2026 campaign this past weekend highlighted by a home victory over ETSU on Monday.
- Track & Field:
- Returning to action for the first time in 2026, Wake Forest competed in the Mondo College Invitational this past Saturday.
- junior Seren Rodgers opened the day of competition by taking home a podium finish in the women's 60m hurdles. The Taunton, England, native crossed the line 8.67 seconds to clinch a third place result. Additionally, Rodgers now ranks fourth in the women's 60m hurdles following her performance.
- Sophomore Amy Weybrecht and freshman Victoria Rodgriguez both moved into the top five in school history in the women's 1,000m. Weybrecht finished the race in 2:46.45, the second-fastest mark all-time, to claim first place in the event for the second time in as many competitions. Meanwhile, Rodriguez finished just behind in second place with a time of 2:47.24, which moved her into fifth place in school history.
- The Demon Deacons will be back in action in two weeks time for a dual schedule weekend. First, one set of Deacs will compete in the Brant Tolsma Invitational in Lynchburg, Va. from Friday, Jan. 30 to Saturday, Jan. 31. Meanwhile, another set of Deacs will travel to Boston to participate in the John Thomas Terrier Classic on Saturday, Jan. 31.
