Demon Deacons Return to Varsity Arena to Face Boston College and Syracuse

Wake Forest will face the Eagles on Friday, Oct. 9, at 6:30 p.m., before welcoming the Orange for the annual Heather Kahl Holmes Breast Cancer Match on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – After concluding its first conference road trip of the season, the Wake Forest volleyball team returns to action this weekend as it hosts Boston College and Syracuse at Varsity Arena.
The Demon Deacons open the weekend with a matchup against the Eagles on Friday, Oct. 9, at 6:30 p.m. Live stats will be updated throughout the match here.
The Deacs will then welcome the Orange on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m. for the annual Heather Kahl Holmes Breast Cancer Match. Live stats for the match are available here.
Admission is free for all spectators, and both matches will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra.

There will continue to be free general admission seating for all home volleyball matches. The team plays each home contest in Varsity Arena, located on the third level of Reynolds Gymnasium (21 Wingate Road, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27109).
Parking is encouraged in lots J, U and W1. A complete parking map of campus is here.
Heather Kahl Holmes Breast Cancer Match
Sunday's match against Syracuse will serve as Wake Forest's annual Heather Kahl Holmes Breast Cancer Match, which honors the life and legacy of former Wake Forest volleyball head coach Heather Holmes, who tragically passed away due to breast cancer in 2019.
Fans are welcome to donate stocking caps/beanies, mittens or cozy socks, chapstick, peppermints, hand lotions/creams, water bottles, journals with pens and other items prior to the match, with all donations going to the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Breast Care Center.
Additionally, the Demon Deacons will be honoring one student-athlete during the match with the Heather Kahl Holmes Tenacity Award.
Pink Jersey Auction
For the first time, the Wake Forest volleyball team will be auctioning off its match-worn pink jerseys from its match against Syracuse, with all proceeds going to the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Breast Care Center in the fight against breast cancer.
Fans can bid on their favorite player's jersey here. The auction is set to close on Monday, Oct. 12, at 11:59 p.m.

Senior libero Andrea Roman has been one of the top defensive players in the ACC this season. Roman, who ranked second in the country in digs last season, has tallied 246 digs thus far, which leads the ACC in total digs. Additionally, the Humacao, Puerto Rico, native currently sits fifth in the conference with 3.78 digs per set.

- Graduate student Ryleigh Whitekettle and sophomore Amina N'Diaye both recorded 11 kills against the Hurricanes on Friday.
