No. 9 Wake Forest Ties for Third at Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate Invitational

The Deacs finished ahead of No. 3 Texas A&M, No. 5 Texas and No. 6 Auburn.
FORT WORTH, TEXAS - The Wake Forest women's golf team closed its regular season out tied for a third place finish at the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate Invitational, in Fort Worth, Texas.
With its best round of the tournament at four-over-par, the Demon Deacons worked their way up from fifth place, totaling 34 birdies throughout the two-day competition. Sophomore Chloe Kovelesky carded the most birdies of the squad with nine, just two behind tournament winner Kiara Romero of Oregon.
At four-over-par, junior Macy Pate and senior Anne-Sterre den Dunnen matched for a T12 finish, with Kovelesky at T19. Den Dunnen posted her best round of the week at one-under, also carding the low round of the competition for the Deacs.
Freshman Cartoon Rujiranan completed her tournament at nine-over and T27, while graduate student Morgan Ketchum finished 11-over in T40. Sophomore Sarah Lydic finished T62 at 19-over.
