Additionally, the Demon Deacons landed three on the All-ACC Singles teams and two pairs on All-ACC Doubles.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – In the midst of another historic campaign, Wake Forest men's tennis took home major conference honors as head coach Tony Bresky was named ACC Coach of the Year and Mees Rottgering earned ACC Freshman of the Year, the conference announced Thursday afternoon.
Additionally, Wake Forest placed five student-athletes across the All-ACC teams, highlighting the depth of this year's squad:
This marks the second-straight year the Demon Deacons landed five selections on the All-ACC teams, which is tied for the most in the conference.
Tony Bresky - ACC Coach of the Year
Bresky secured his fourth ACC Coach of the Year honor (2013, 2016, 2025, 2026) after guiding Wake Forest to yet another dominant conference campaign.
The Demon Deacons captured their fourth ACC Championship under his leadership this past weekend, once again completing the ACC regular season and tournament double, the third time the program has accomplished the feat during his tenure. Wake Forest enters the NCAA Tournament with a 30-3 overall record and a 12-1 mark in conference play, reaching the 30-win milestone for the third consecutive season.
Already the winningest coach in program history, Bresky reached another major milestone on Sunday, earning his 400th victory in the Old Gold & Black in the ACC Championship match. His sustained excellence has defined an era of Wake Forest men's tennis, with the program capturing 13 team titles since 2016 alone, including multiple ACC championships, two NCAA Championships (2018, 2025) and two ITA National Team Indoor titles.
This season, Wake Forest has been particularly dominant in doubles, setting the tone early in matches and building momentum throughout. The Demon Deacons swept all 13 doubles points during ACC regular season play and carried that success into the conference tournament, helping fuel a remarkable stretch of 22 consecutive matches securing the doubles point and taking a 1-0 lead, a feat they achieved 30 times overall this season.
Individually, Bresky's impact continues to be reflected in player development, as he has now coached 45 All-ACC selections during his tenure, including the five honorees in 2026. His ability to consistently develop elite talent and maintain a championship standard has placed him among the most accomplished coaches not only in program history, but across the conference.
With four ACC titles to his name, Bresky now joins an elite group of Wake Forest coaches to reach that milestone, further cementing his legacy as one of the most influential figures in the program's history.
Mees Rottgering - ACC Freshman of the Year / All-ACC Singles Second Team
Taking the conference by storm in year one, Rottgering became the sixth ACC Freshman of the Year in program history, the fourth under Berkey and the first since Henri Squire in 2021.
In addition to earning ACC Freshman of the Year honors, Rottgering also secured All-ACC Second Team singles recognition following a breakout debut season that immediately established him as one of the league's top young talents.
The freshman posted a 14-3 overall record and excelled against top competition, going 6-1 against ranked opponents while quickly adapting to the demands of the collegiate game. His ability to deliver in key moments was on full display during the ACC Tournament, where he went undefeated and capped the weekend with a signature win over Virginia's No. 15 Keegan Rice in the championship match, the highest-ranked victory of his career.
Rottgering's consistency has been equally impressive, as he has lost just once since mid-February and enters the NCAA Tournament in peak form. His four ACC Freshman of the Week honors underscore the sustained impact he has made throughout the season, while his presence in both singles and doubles has added another dynamic layer to Wake Forest's lineup.
Luca Pow - All-ACC Singles Second Team
Pow turned in one of the most consistent seasons of his career, primarily holding down court three for the Demon Deacons while compiling an 18-3 dual-match record during the spring, the second-most wins on the team. The junior continued his remarkable career trajectory by surpassing the 30-win mark in singles for the third consecutive academic year, further solidifying his place among the program's most reliable performers.
He enters the NCAA Tournament riding a 13-match winning streak and has not dropped a match since Feb. 15, playing a key role in Wake Forest's dominance in the middle of the lineup. His performance in the ACC Championship match was emblematic of his form, as he earned a dominant 6-1, 6-0 victory over No. 48 Andres Santamarta Roig, the highest-ranked dual-match win of his career and his third ranked victory this season.
Pow's consistency has been a cornerstone of the Deacs' success, with Wake Forest not dropping a match on court three since Feb. 22. With 96 career singles victories, he now holds the most among active Demon Deacons and sits just five wins shy of cracking the program's all-time top 10 list.
DK Suresh Ekambaram - All-ACC Singles Third Team
Suresh continued to build on an already decorated career, earning All-ACC honors in both singles and doubles for the third consecutive season. Serving as Wake Forest's primary No. 1 singles player, he secured three of his six dual-match wins against ranked opponents, consistently facing the toughest competition in the lineup.
His résumé extends well beyond conference play, as Suresh is a three-time doubles All-American and added singles All-America honors in 2025. He also etched his name into program history last season by clinching the NCAA Championship match against TCU, delivering one of the most memorable moments in Wake Forest tennis history.
DK Suresh Ekambaram/Andrew Delgado - All-ACC Doubles First Team
In doubles, Suresh paired with redshirt freshman Andrew Delgado to form one of the most dominant tandems in the country. On Tuesday, the two were ranked as the No. 1 team in the ITA rankings for the first time.
The duo posted a perfect 12-0 record together, including a 5-0 mark against ranked opponents, while anchoring the top doubles position. During the ACC Tournament, the pair secured multiple ranked wins, including victories over No. 13 Williams/Rodenas (Duke) and No. 45 Dahlberg/Kim (Virginia).
Suresh also reached a major career milestone during the ACC Championship, recording his 97th career doubles win, a total that ranks fourth in program history and further cements his legacy among Wake Forest's all-time greats.
Mees Rottgering / Kacper Szymkowiak – All-ACC Doubles Third Team
Rottgering and Szymkowiak formed another dominant doubles pairing for the Demon Deacons, earning All-ACC Third Team recognition after compiling a perfect 12-0 record together. The duo was particularly effective in conference play, going 9-0 against ACC opponents and consistently setting the tone early in matches.
Their impact was especially evident during the ACC Tournament, where they went 3-0 as a pair and played a crucial role in helping Wake Forest capture the doubles point in every match en route to the championship. Their reliability and ability to execute in high-pressure moments added another layer of depth to one of the nation's strongest doubles lineups.
