Wake Forest has its third-highest ranked recruiting class since the introduction of TRN rankings.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Tennis Recruiting Network (TRN) released rankings for its 2026 Top Women's Tennis Classes on Monday, as Wake Forest landed at No. 11 with 215 points.
The Demon Deacons' incoming freshmen trio – Lillian Santos, Catherine Rennard and Bella Jacutin-Mariona – stands as the program's highest ranked recruiting class since 2013. Santos and Rennard have each earned Blue-Chip status while Jacutin-Mariona is a five-star player. All three signees hold spots within the top 35 of TRN's individual rankings.
Lillian Santos | Scituate, Mass. | ICL Academy
Standing as the No. 1 recruit in the state of Massachusetts, Lillian currently ranks No. 16 nationally and made a jump from No. 28 this past fall. She has competed as a top-35 player since 2023 and is also second overall among New England. Lillian's accolades during 2025 include being a National Clay Courts champion and a doubles finalist in both the J300 and J200 within the International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Tennis Tour Juniors circuit.
Catherine Rennard | Asheville, N.C. | Covenant Academy of Asheville
An in-state native, Rennard comes in as North Carolina's No. 1 player. She is also currently sitting at a career-high No. 17 nationally after rising 15 spots dating back to June 2024. The Asheville product has taken a leap each year since her freshman campaign, when she rested just inside the top 30. This past summer, Rennard enjoyed a standout showing at the 2025 USTA Billie Jean King Girls National Championships, playing her way into a doubles finalist.
Bella Jacutin-Mariona | Los Altos, California | Los Altos High School
Hailing from the West Coast and a family full of athletes, Bella has attracted attention as one of the top competitors within California. She has ranked as high as No. 6 in the state and is No. 33 in the country. During the summer, Bella was just outside the top-20 national rankings at No. 21. A captain for the Los Altos Eagles, she has helped pace the program to exceptional success as one of California's top high school teams, as Los Altos won back-to-back California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) State Northern California championships in 2024 and 2025.

From Coach Wyshner
"It's exciting to see our fall 2026 recruiting class continue to receive national recognition as an incoming group. Bella, Catherine and Lillian are exceptional young women who I know are going to have a huge impact on our program next year and over the next four years. They have continued to work hard and grow as players since their commitments to Wake, and we very much look forward to getting them to campus and getting to work with and be around them every day!"
About TRN Media Poll
The Tennis Recruiting Network enlisted the aid of junior tennis experts to determine the top classes. Reporters, national and international tournament directors, referees, ranking chairs, and writers from across the country devoted time to vote on the top classes.
Schools received 25 points for each first-place vote, 24 points for each second-place vote, and down to one point for each 25th-place vote. Incoming transfer students and incoming freshmen who competed in spring 2026 were not considered during the voting process.
