John McCarren became just the second Deacon ever to make 100 career appearances, joining big leaguer Dave Bush (1999-02) ... Finished with a 13-12 record and 4.54 career ERA over his 104 outings ... Made at least 19 appearances in each of his four seasons. 2017 (Senior)
Served as a team captain and finished with a 5-4 record and 4.91 ERA ... Finished the year with 29 appearances and four starts, striking out 39 batters and walking 15 over 51.1 innings ... Earned three wins over ACC foes: NC State (March 11), Notre Dame (Apr. 15) and Florida State (May 14) ... Recorded season-highs of 5.0 innings and five strikeouts, allowing just two hits without allowing a run at Radford (May 10) ...
