All-ACC Academic Team selection...ACC Academic Honor Roll...Shined in her debut season with the Black and Old Gold...Played in 27 matches...Combined with Casie Wooten to pack a deadly punch as one of the country's best in doubles...Ranked as high as No. 15 in the ITA Doubles...The duo went 4-1 over opposing ranked pairs and earned a bid to the 2022 NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships...Individually, Martinelli tied for the most singles wins on the Wake Forest roster, ending with a 16-8 clip...Was a reliable option at different spots within the lineup...Especially stood out in ACC play, going 9-1.
Prior To Wake Forest:
Attended Yale ... Was ranked as high as No. 46 in singles while earning a consistent spot as the Bulldogs' No. 1 player during the 2019-20 season ... Martinelli and her doubles partner Jessie Gong became the first Bulldogs to earn All-America honors, rising to as high as the No. 3 doubles team in the country in 2020 ...During the 2019 fall campaign, the duo won the ITA All-American title, becoming the first Ivy League women in either singles or doubles to win the event ... As a sophomore and freshman, she earned First Team All-Ivy League honor in singles while leading the Bulldogs in victories each of those seasons ... During her 2017-18 season, Martinelli was named Ivy League Rookie of the Year. She was just the third player in program history to earn the honor, joining Cynthia Obsitnik (1998) and Madeleine Hamilton (2013).
