Former Demon Deacon distance runner Kristin Weisse is in her second season as the Student-Athlete Development Assistant at Wake Forest in 2015-16. In her current role, Weisse is responsible for helping to organize and inform student-athletes about community service experiences, as well as helping to provide them with career development opportunities. Weisse competed in cross country and indoor track as a graduate student at Wake Forest in 2013. She joined the Deacons after finishing her undergraduate work at the University of Connecticut, where she competed on the Huskies' club cross country team. Weisse graduated from UConn in 2013, earning her bachelor's degrees in English and psychology. She is currently enrolled in the English master's program at Wake Forest and expects to receive her degree in May 2015. Weisse worked as a tutor for student-athletes while an undergraduate at UConn. She currently works with Wake Forest students at the University's Writing Center. A native of East Longmeadow, Mass., Weisse currently resides in Winston-Salem.
