Eder Quintanilla spent two seasons with the Wake Forest men's soccer coaching staff, serving as an assistant coach in 2015 after being the team's director of player development in 2014. Quintanilla left the Demon Deacons to become an assistant coach in the San Jose Earthquakes Development Academy in May 2016.

Previously, Quintanilla was the U-11 coach and scout in the historic club of the Spanish "La Liga" Athletic Club Bilbao, an academy known for developing talented young players each year for the Spanish National Team.

He graduated with a Spanish national soccer coaching title equivalent to UEFA "A," and has experience coaching in both England in 2010 with the Hollingbury Hawks soccer club, and in Mexico with Coerver Sport Partners of the Premier League team, West Ham United.

Quintanilla played soccer as a professional in 3rd Division teams in Spain such as Erandio, Indautxu and Deusto. Having earned a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Basque Country in 2009 and a master's degree in Graphic Design at INEDI School in Bilbao, Spain, in 2010, Quintanilla has also worked as a graphic designer in Italy in 2009 and Poland in 2013. He was able to combine his two passions during experiences working abroad in Italy in 2009, England in 2010, Mexico in 2012 and Poland in 2013.
