Had a tremendous high school career earning six All-State honors and three All-American honors ... Broke the outdoor school record en route to a state championship in the 4x800 which was the 20th fastest time ever run in the U.S. by a high school team ... Also took 2nd at the 2008 Penn Relays in the 4x800 and was the top American team ... During the indoor season he was a member of the 2008 national indoor champion 4x800 team that broke both the indoor school record and the Pennsylvania Indoor state record ... Also broke the school record in the 300-meter hurdles en route to a 3rd place finish at the 2008 Pennsylvania state championships ...
