Men's Cross Country Takes Second In Furman Invitational

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Junior Stephan Pro lead the Deacon runners to second place in the Furman Invitational on Saturday, October 9 at Furman University. Pro captured fourth place in the 5,000 meter race with a time of 25:22. Sophomore Michael Altieri rounded out the Top 10 finishers for Wake with a 9th place finish and a time of 25:57.
The University of Tennessee-Knoxville captured first place in the race with 42 points, while Wake garnered 65 points, good for second.
The men's cross country team will next be in action October 17 at the North Carolina Intercollegiates meet in Greenville, N.C.
