CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) - Kevin Brown hit his 20th homer, a three-run shot in the third, and Miami beat Wake Forest 8-1 to earn its sixth straight berth in the College World Series.
The Hurricanes (46-13) are the third team to qualify for Omaha in six straight seasons. Miami beat the Demon Deacons (47-16) 10-2 in the opener.
Miami starter Alex Santos (11-3) allowed one run and seven hits over seven innings. John Hendricks (10-6) took the loss for Wake Forest, surrendering all eight runs in five-plus innings. Brown's homer gave Miami a 5-0 lead.
