Women's Tennis Wins ACC Indoors

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's tennis team captured both the singles and doubles championships at the ACC Women's Indoor Championships on Monday.
Freshman Adria Engel won the singles championship by defeating Marlene Mejia of North Carolina 6-3, 6-3. Engel and fellow freshman Bea Bielik captured the doubles title by defeating Laurence Javet and Anna Savitskaya of Clemson 8-5 in Monday's final. The Deacons also won the consolation bracket as sophomore Janet Bergman defeated Jessica Zananczyk of North Carolina 6-4, 3-6, 6-2.
The Deacons will be back in action on Sunday Jan. 30 when they host the Richmond Spiders. The match is set for 2 p.m.
