ELON, N.C. - Wake Forest volleyball sweeps Elon Wednesday night 30-21, 30-20, 30-17 in non-conference action in Alumni Gym. The Deacons increase their win streak to seven games with the defeat over the Phoenix. With the win Wake Forest improves to 18-8 overall while Elon falls to 6-21, suffering its 16th consecutive loss of the season.

For the Deacs, sophomore Jessica Hauff tied a season-high 16 kills and posted five blocks (one solo), four digs and two service aces for the night. As well freshman Kim Stern tallied 10 kills, five digs, three block assists and two service aces to contribute to the Deacon win. Junior Ashlee Phillips directed the Deacon offense with 44 assists and posted seven digs as well.

Elon was led by Ruthanne Clark who registered six kills and Lindsay Lawson who posted 16 assists, four kills and two service aces for the Phoenix.

Wake Forest hosts Duke for its last home match of the season on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. The seniors will be honored at their last home career match.
