Volleyball Falls To Georgia Tech In Four Games

ATLANTA, GA - The Wake Forest volleyball team dropped its first ACC match of the season to Georgia Tech in four games 23-30, 16-30, 30-28 and 26-30 after defeating Clemson 3-2 on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets improve to 6-3, 2-1 ACC. The Demon Deacons fall to 6-3, 1-1 ACC.
Wake Forest lost a disappointing match to Georgia Tech on Sunday. After losing the first two games, Wake rallied back to win the third but lost the momentum in the fourth.
Senior Trina Maso de Moya led the Wake Forest squad posting double figures, 13 kills and 18 digs. Senior Margaret Davidson also recorded 13 kills and eight blocks (six assisted). Junior setter Ashlee Phillips led the Deacon offense with only 39 assists. The Deacons were held to a .119 team hitting percentage while the Yellow Jackets posted a .235 percentage.
Wake Forest falls to 6-10 in its all-time series record versus Georgia Tech.
The Demon Deacons travel to Radford, Va. Tuesday to face the Radford Highlanders at 6 p.m.
