Women's Golf Remains Eighth at Mason Rudolph

Franklin, TN - The Wake Forest women's golf team had another strong round today, firing a 298 to remain in eighth place at the Mason Rudolph Championship. The Deacons are now 18-over par after the first two rounds of the tournament, with a cumulative score of 594.

UCLA still holds the lead, as they are even for the championship. Although the Demon Deacons trail the Bruins by 18 stokes, they are less than 10 stokes back of third place Auburn.

Amanda Goins, Ashley Hoagland, and Christine Hallstrom, all had second round scores of 74 to lead the Lady Deacons. Goins is 3-over par for the tournament and improved individually to a tie for 16th place. Tied for 23rd place are Hoagland and Deborah Means. Means shot a 4-over 76 after yesterday's round of par. Hallstrom made the largest jump of the Deacon golfers, moving up 11 places to 38th place. With a 79, Jessica Castle is now in a tie for 65th place and 12-over for the tournament.

The Mason Rudolph Tournament will conclude tomorrow with the final 18 holes of the 54-hole event.
