Box Score

Quoting Wake Forest Coach Skip Prosser
"The kids from USC Upstate played very hard throughout the game. I think we accomplished some things and that is why we play games like these-- to see what we can get better at. There are things on the tape that never lie. The one thing that we did was how well we shared the ball, despite the fact that the game was so out of range so early. We did a good job of scrapping for boards."

On playing with a limited roster:
"Two different things. Number one, we didn't have a lot of guys. Usually we would be subbing earlier than we did. We also feel like we are trying to get into a little bit more of a mindset when we are under pressure. Trent and Visser wouldn't have been in the game in the end."

On Visser and Williams playing at the same time:
"I think that they can play together. Kyle is getting better at handling the ball. I still feel more comfortable when Eric has the ball close to the basket. There will be games where we will be matched up with big physical teams so I won't want to leave Vytas out there the whole game or Jamaal. I thought it would be good to try Visser at the four."

Quoting USC Upstate Coach Eddie Payne
"We were playing a great team and this is the best team that we will play all year. I was disappointed with our effort on the glass. When we had the game at 27-19, we were doing a decent job at the half court defense. Without trapping at the post they just did what they wanted to. We couldn't keep them off the glass and turn it over when they pressured our ball handling. We will learn a lot from watching the tape. It will be good experience for our team."

On the Division I/Division II rule change:
"I think the rule change is good for basketball. It gives us the experience of playing in front of good crowds and bands. Division II is good competitive basketball but it is just not very sexy."

Quoting Wake Forest Guard Chris Paul
"My favorite part of the night is knowing that this is my brother's senior year and being able to play against him. This was just a great thing for my family, they made up t-shirts and everything. It was so great to have my whole family here to support the two of us."

On playing against each other:
"Playing against him was really tough because I just want to see him succeed. After the game I thanked Coach Prosser for setting this up, but it is something that I never want to do it again."

On Wake Forest:
"Whatever I have to do to win, I am going to do. If that means scoring two points or 22 points, it doesn't make any difference. We are unbelievably deep this year and as long as our big guys keep playing like they did tonight, I have no problem feeding them all night long."

Quoting USC-Upstate Guard C.J. Paul
"Just being out there was my favorite part of the night. Being back home was great. I lost my last high school basketball game here and it is a great feeling to be back."

On playing against each other:
"I got in early foul trouble so that was a little tough for me. It was a nice feeling to be going up against my brother."

On his brother:
"I love him to death. I can now finally cheer him on now that this is over. I just love him to death. He is really good, I tried to be the aggressor tonight but that got me into trouble. Even though I saw a lot of it from the bench, he looked really good tonight. He needs to shoot the three when he is open."
