Coach's Comments
"Coming into the game, I was impressed with Grant [Leonard's] team on film on offense. As far as analytics are concerned, they were the fourth-best team we've played on our schedule on offense. At the start of the game, it looked like that was the way it was going to go. I wasn't very pleased with the way we defended early. I thought we got better as the game went along. Offensively, I thought we played at a really high level the entire game. We did an unbelievable job of sharing the ball. We always try to set a goal of 18 or more assists, and I think we had around 23 at the end. We had a bunch. Myles [Colvin] was unbelievable. The ball looked great coming out of his hand. He was in a rhythm. Omaha [Biliew] also had great rhythm. I thought our guys did a great job of finding them when they were open.
"Queens was switching one through five, so it was a little harder to get in there early. We had to loosen them up, but we made shots to loosen them up. I thought in the second half that our defense got a lot better. We had four straight stops at the start of the half. They had 32 possessions in the second half, and we stopped them 19 times and allowed just 34 points. Truthfully, the whole thing goes back to how they handled this past week with finals and practice. I thought they did it in a very mature manner and I thought we would play well today. Happy with the win." - head coach Steve Forbes
