Wake Forest, Longwood Meet in Wednesday Evening Showdown

The Demon Deacons enter their final week of non-conference play beginning with Wednesday’s game against the Lancers.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest men's basketball turns its attention to the final week of non-conference play, beginning with a Wednesday night showdown against Longwood at LJVM Coliseum.
The first meeting between the Demon Deacons and Lancers since 2020 will tip at 7 p.m. and be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
Last Time Out
Behind a career night from junior guard Myles Colvin, the Demon Deacons defeated Queens 111-73 to secure a milestone 100th victory for Steve Forbes at Wake Forest.
Colvin led the way for the Demon Deacons with a career-high 33 points while shooting 11-of-13 from the field. The Indianapolis native also set a career-high with seven three-pointers to go along eight rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Junior forward Omaha Biliew added a career-high 16 points on 5-of-7 shooting, including going 4-for-6 from three-point range. The Waukee, Iowa, native added two rebounds, two assists and a steal while recording a team-best 34-plus/minus.
Senior guard Nate Calmese chipped in 15 points–tying his season-best total–and three assists, while sophomore guard Juke Harris tallied 14 points, five rebounds, and three assists.
Overall, Wake Forest shot the ball at a 62.1 percent clip (36-58), including connecting on 17 of their 33 three-point attempts.
The victory marked the 100th at Wake Forest for head coach Steve Forbes, as he became the third-fastest Demon Deacon head coach to hit the mark behind only Wake Forest Sports Hall of Famers Dave Odom and Skip Prosser.

Wake Forest men's basketball has built one of college basketball's premier home court advantages over the last five seasons, as the Demon Deacons have collected a 67-11 at LJVM Coliseum since 2021—the fifth-most home wins nationally over that period.

Wake Forest's 42 victories in non-conference play since 2021-22 are tied for the second-most in the ACC during that span.

Wake Forest's active defense has recorded 179 turnovers so far this season, second-most in the ACC and top-25 nationally.

Sophomore guard Juke Harris continues to pace the Demon Deacons in scoring this season, as he's reached a double-digit scoring total in all 11 games while ranking fifth in the ACC in points per game (20.1).
Additionally, Harris is one of only three ACC players averaging 20 points and 6 rebounds per game this season, joining Duke's Cameron Boozer and Miami's Malik Reneau.
Nationally, Harris ranks sixth amongst all sophomores in points per game.
