Second Round of Hackler Invitational Suspended Due To Darkness

Conway, S.C. --- The second round of play at the General Jim Hackler Invitational was suspended due to darkness on Monday. The tournament which is being hosted by Coastal Carolina University and held at the TPC of Myrtle Beach, will resume Tuesday at 9 a.m. with the completion of the second round and the entire third round of play.
The 18th-ranked Wake Forest men's golf team finds itself in second place at 297, five shots behind #31 Pepperdine which leads the 19-team field. The Deacs' Bill Haas, the nation's top-ranked player is tied for the overall lead with Pepperdine's Michael Putnam and Virginia's Kevin O'Connell at two-under 70.
Wake Forest's Chad Wilcox and Kyle Reifers are also within five shots of the lead. Wilcox was a last-minute lineup replacement after sophomore Alex Yates injured his elbow over the weekend and is at 74 while Reifers is one stroke behind his teammate at 75.
