Wake Forest's Kelly Dostal was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey Player of the Week after leading the Demon Deacons to two victories over Ohio State and James Madison this past weekend. The senior forward from Hatfield, Mass., scored five goals and one assist to help the Deacs extend their winning streak to 14 games. Dostal registered three goals and one assist in Wake Forest's 6-0 win over Ohio State and recorded two more goals as the Deacs defeated James Madison 4-0. The All-American forward earned ACC Player of the Week honors the weeks of Sept. 16 and Sept. 23, 2002. Dostal led the ACC and the nation in goals per game in 2003. She also broke a four year old Deacon record of most goals in a season, compiling an impressive 29 last year. With six goals and 15 points after just four games this season, she is on pace to continue her success in the record books. Wake Forest returns to action on Wednesday, September 8, when they play host to Davidson.
