Three Deacons Participating In Tulsa

Tulsa, Okla. - Wake Forest has three players competing at the Polo Ralph Lauren All-American championships this week at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla. The Deacons sent Andrew Hamar, Brett Ross and Todd Paul for the event which has attracted most of the nation's top 200 players representing 78 schools.
Paul has been invited to the main draw which begins Thursday. Hamar and Ross will attempt to join their teammate by advancing through the qualifying stages beginning Monday.
In the first round, Ross will face Tomas Bohunicky of Oklahoma State. Hamar squares off against Martin Stiegwart of Georgia State.
In doubles, Ross and Paul are in the qualifying bracket. They were awarded a bye into the round of 32.
The qualifying rounds continue through Wednesday.
