Eleventh-ranked Wake Forest will join many of the nation's top men's golf teams Friday through Sunday at the Collegiate Match Play Championship in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL.

The unique event, the final tournament of the fall season for Wake Forest, will be played at the Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort. Invitation to the tournament was based on 2005 national championship finish.

Georgia, the nation's top-ranked team and defending NCAA champion, earned the No. 1 seed.

Wake Forest, the tournament's No. 5 seed, plays Augusta State in the opening round. The winner will face either Duke or Arizona in the second round. There are 16 teams in the three-day tournament.

The Demon Deacons will be represented by six players, including All-American candidates senior Kyle Reifers and sophomore Webb Simpson. Both players have a stroke average below 73. Junior Sean Moore, who recently posted consecutive rounds in the 60s, and senior Doug Manchester, who is enjoying the best season of his career, will participate as well. Sophomores Chris McCartin and Chad Willcox are the fifth and sixth members leading the way this weekend for Wake.
