Columbus, Ohio - Wake Forest junior men's tennis player Todd Paul won his first round match at the National Indoors Tournament at Ohio State University on Thursday, defeating Peter Oredsson of SMU 7-6 (3), 7-6 (2).

Paul moves on to play fourth-seeded Ben Kohlloeffel of UCLA on Friday in the round of 16. Kohlloeffel earned a berth in the second round by beating Andreas Siljestrom of Middle Tennessee 7-6 (3), 6-3.

The victory improved Paul's singles record to 11-4.
