Spice, Paul Named to All-ACC Tennis Team

Winston-Salem, N.C. -- Wake Forest's Derrick Spice and Todd Paul were named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference men's tennis team, the league announced on Wednesday.
Spice becomes the first player in Wake Forest history to be a three-time All-ACC selection. The senior from North Olmsted, Ohio, also made the team as a freshman and a junior. Spice was the ACC's Rookie of the Year in 2002.
He owns a singles record of 16-15 overall, 7-3 in the ACC and is currently ranked 54th in the nation. In doubles, Spice holds a 16-13 record.
Paul, last year's ACC Rookie of the Year, made the All-ACC team for the second year in a row. A sophomore from Stamford, Conn., Paul is ranked 51st in the nation by the ITA. He owns a 20-9 singles record with a team-best 9-1 mark in the ACC and also a team-best 19-10 doubles record.
The duo leads the 17th-ranked Demon Deacons to the ACC Tournament this weekend in Cary, N.C. Wake Forest plays Clemson at noon on Friday in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals.
