
Women's Golf In Eighth At Mason Rudolph

Nashville, Tenn. - The Wake Forest women's golf team shot a 14-over par 302 on Saturday at the Mason Rudolph Challenge. The 21st-ranked Demon Deacons have a two-round total 590 (14-over par) for the tournament. The 54-hole event, hosted by Vanderbilt, is being contested at the Vanderbilt Legends Club. The par is 72 and yardage is 6,217 yards.
Vanderbilt and Georgia are tied in the lead with two-over par 578. Arizona State is in third, one stroke behind. Duke, six-over par, UCLA, nine-over par, Arkansas, 11-over par and Auburn, 13-over par follow the leaders.
Junior Mandy Goins, who opened with a two-under par 70, shot a second round 74, two-over par. The Frankfort, Ky., native is in a tie for fifth place at even par.
Freshman Jean Chua shot an even par round of 72 for the Deacons on Saturday. Chua has a two-round total of 145, one-over par.
Junior Maggie Simons added a five-over par 77 for the Deacs. Her two-day total of 150 (six-over par) is good for a tie for 34th.
Freshman Nannette Hill shot a seven-over 79 giving her a 36-hole total of 151, seven-over par.
Sophomore Laura Crawford also carded a seven-over 79. Crawford has a two-round total of 154, 10-over par.
Vanderbilt's Jacqui Concolino shot a three-under par 69 Saturday to take the individual lead. Her two-round total of seven-under par gives Concolino a three stroke lead over Duke freshman Amanda Blumenherst. Blumenherst shot a one-under 71 on Saturday. Auburn's Maria Martinez and Arizona State's Azahara Munoz are two-under for the tournament.
