Chapel Hill, N.C. - Wake Forest's Cory Parr and Charles Sartor saw their run in the doubles bracket of the ITA Mideast Regionals come to an end in Saturday's quarterfinal. The unseeded Deacon duo lost 8-6 to 12th-seeded George Gvelsiani and David North of Georgia Tech. Parr and Sartor had previously defeated two seeded opponents during the week.
In the singles round of 16, Parr fell to 17th-seeded Benjamin Carlotti of North Carolina, 7-6 (3), 6-1. Carlotti has advanced to the tournament semifinals on Sunday.
The losses wrap play for the Deacons in the Chapel Hill event. Senior Todd Paul will be in action at the ITA National Indoor Collegiate Championships in Columbus, Ohio. The nation's top 64 players are invited to the event. Paul is scheduled to begin play on November 2.
