HOUSTON, Texas - Senior Kyle Reifers shot a final-round 72 and Wake Forest turned its best round of the tournament as the Demon Deacons finished 15^th at the Texas/GCAA Hall of Fame Invitational here Sunday.

The 14^th-ranked Demon Deacons shot a cumulative 14-over 302 today, passing Vanderbilt for 15^th place and coming within one stroke of finishing 13^th at the par 72, 7,422-yard Redstone Golf Club.

The Big 12 Conference swept the top four spots in the team race. Oklahoma State finished first, 10 strokes ahead of Texas A&M and 19 strokes in front of Oklahoma and Texas.

Wake Forest was not at full strength this week. Junior Sean Moore did not play Friday because of an illness. The Deacons are also without sophomore Webb Simpson, who used a sponsor's exemption to play in the PGA Tour's Bay Hill Classic this week.

Deacon senior Kyle Reifers rallied for an even par 72 today. He finished the tournament with a 10-over 226, tying for 24^th place. Sophomore Chris McCartin and senior Doug Manchester tied for 57^th place with 18-over 234s. Freshman Marc Gladson finished with a 27-over 243. Moore shot a 5-over 77 today.

Oklahoma's Anthony Kim cruised to the individual title with an 8-under 208. The only player to finish the 54-hole event under par, Kim finished eight strokes in front of Oklahoma State's Jonathan Moore and nine strokes ahead of Texas A&M's Robert Gates.

Up next for Wake Forest is the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate in Awandaw, SC, March 26-28.
