Oh boy, day 1 and our bodies already hate us!
We started the morning off nicely bright and early 730 with a fitness test. We had the option of running the gauntlet or seven laps in 12 minutes. Even though it was tiring, everyone did such an amazing job! You can tell everybody worked so hard over the summer. So that was very exciting to see. After the running tests we started our practice.
I think most of us spent the day focusing on giving the freshmen appropriate nicknames. For many people, the breaks between the practices consisted of three hour naps. However, some of us were not so fortunate and had to take our summer school finals.
At our second practice you could notice how everyone is more relaxed and not as nervous as the morning session. It was just our first day, but it feels like our team has been playing together for awhile. So we are off to a fabulous start. Tonight is definitely going to be an early night. We got another early morning ahead of us!
