Men's Tennis Opens Spring Season This Weekend

Evanston, Ill. - The Wake Forest men's tennis team begins its quest for a seventh-straight NCAA Tournament appearance beginning Saturday afternoon. The Deacons will open their spring schedule against the 42nd-ranked University of San Diego in Evanston, Ill. The Deacons will face Northwestern on Sunday.
Wake Forest is ranked 24th in the preseason Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll. The Deacons are led by 11th-year head coach Jeff Zinn.
The Deacons return senior All-American Todd Paul, the fourth-ranked singles player in the nation. Senior Andrew Hamar, juniors Mariusz Adamski and Charles Sartor and sophomore Cory Parr round out the Wake Forest returnees. Three Wake Forest freshmen -- Andrew Brasseaux, Steven Forman and Jason Morgenstern -- will be a part of their first dual match action.
Wake Forest plays San Diego at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and Northwestern at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
