Field Hockey Set to Scrimmage Virginia Today, Saturday

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Before the Wake Forest field hockey team opens its 2007 campaign on Aug. 25 against Iowa at the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, the Demon Deacons will play three scrimmages beginning today.

Wake will host Virginia in two scrimmages - today at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 3 p.m. and will travel to Duke for a 4 p.m. scrimmage on Monday.

The Deacs open their season with four road games before returning to Winston-Salem on Sept. 12 when they host Radford at 7 p.m.
