Melissa Martin Named ACC Field Hockey Player of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Wake Forest sophomore Melissa Martin has been named the ACC Player of the Week after helping fifth-ranked Wake Forest to a 4-2 victory over No. 8 Duke on Saturday in Durham. The ACC honor is the first for the Martin.
The Lancaster, Pa. native, led the Demon Deacons with four points in the ACC's first conference match-up of the season. Martin scored a goal and added two assists to improve the team's record to 2-2 this year.
The Deacons host Radford on Wednesday in their home opener at 7 p.m. before heading to Bloomington, Ind. to take on Ohio on Saturday and Indiana on Sunday.
