Three Deacs Named to ACC Field Hockey All-Academic Team

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest field hockey athletes Aileen Davis, Melissa Martin and Raisa Schiller were named to the 2008-09 Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey All-Academic Team.
In addition to showcasing outstanding athletic achievement, to be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
This is the second year that juniors Aileen Davis and Raisa Schiller have been tapped for the conference honor. Both athletes also earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-America honors at the end of the 2008 season. Schiller, a midfielder out of the Netherlands, is majoring in psychology with a minor in Spanish. Davis, a defender from Edinburg, Scotland, is earning a degree in French.
Martin is a junior midfielder that hails from Lancaster, Pa. She earned NFHCA All-Region honors in 2008 and was voted to the NCAA All-Tournament Team at the Final Four in Louisville, Ky. Martin is a History major with a minor in International Studies.
