Bill Haas finished tied for 22nd at this past weekend's Quail Hollow Championship in Charlotte, marking his best finish since a tie for 11th at the Buick Invitational back on Feb. 8.
Haas, who had missed four cuts in his last five tournaments, started the event with a solid round of 3-under 69 on Thursday and followed it with a pair of 71s on Friday and Saturday to sit tied for 18th heading into Sunday's play. He managed a round of even-par 72 in the final round, making four birdies, four bogeys and ten pars.
The cut made was his sixth this season in 12 starts.
Webb Simpson also played this past weekend in Charlotte but couldn't get anything going in the first two rounds and would miss the cut, which fell at even-par.
The PGA Tour now heads to the TPC at Sawgrass for The Players Championship. The LPGA Tour returns to action at the Michelob Open at Kingsmill while the Champions and Nationwide Tours will have one more week off before the seniors host the Regions Charity Classic in Birmingham, Ala., and the Nationwide guys will get back to action at the BMW Charity Pro-Am.
