WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest field hockey coaching staff will conduct a coaching and skills clinic on June 13th at Kentner Stadium. Coaches, parents, and players will have the opportunity to learn skills, techniques, and strategies from the nation's best.
The clinic will feature some of Optimist's 10 best coaches and 30 elite athletes in the Optimist program.
"The optimist club provides a great opportunity for young hockey players to develop their fundamental skills while also giving them a chance to compete against equal levels," Wake Forest field hockey head coach Jennifer Averill said.
The Optimist Field Hockey program is an avid supporter of the Demon Deacon Field Hockey team. Optimist provides indoor and indoor leagues throughout the year to promote the sport to young people in the community.
