COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Four Terrapins scored in double-figures as No. 14/13 Maryland posted a 75-44 victory over Wake Forest Friday evening at the Comcast Center.

UM also held the edge on the boards 54-35 and committed 13 turnovers while forcing 17 Demon Deacon giveaways.

Waters opened the game with a three-pointer but Maryland scored the next 12 points to take a nine-point lead just four minutes in. The Deacs then held UM to just one-point in the next five minutes and would cut the lead to one at 13-12 at the second media timeout. Garcia had a pair of buckets during the run and Erin Hall added a three-pointer.

Maryland answered right back with 12-2 run to push the lead out to 11 at 25-14. Thomas had six points in the spurt while Natasha Cloud knocked down a three-pointer of her own. Four-straight points by Garcia cut the deficit to seven but Rodgers came off the bench for the Terps and knocked-down four-straight shots. Rodgers hit three-straight three-pointers in back-to-back-to-back possessions and then followed with a jumper inside the arc on the next possession. After a lay-in by Thomas, Rodgers capped the half with a pair of free throws to give UM a 42-18 lead at the break.

The Terps finished the half on 17-0 run behind 13 points from Rodgers. Alyssa Thomas led all scorers with 14 points while Garcia scored 10 points for the Deacs. Maryland shot 55 percent from the floor and was 5-of-8 from beyond the arc in the first half.

The teams traded baskets early in the second half but Diandra Tchatchouang sparked a mini 6-0 run for the Terps with a pair of jumpers to push the UM lead to 61-30 midway through the second half. The Terps build as much as a 38-point lead with 6:26 remaining and would cruise home to a 75-44 victory.
