Wake Forest Baseball Summer Update

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest baseball team will have 23 members of the 2011 roster playing in various collegiate summer leagues around the country.
The Demon Deacons are best represented in the Valley Baseball League, as five players are on three different rosters. Mac Williamson, Niko Spezial and Justin Van Grouw are all playing for the Harrisonburg Turks, while Daniel Marrs is with the Strasburg Express and Charlie Morgan is with the Haymarket Senators.
The Cape Cod Baseball League and the New England Collegiate Baseball League feature three Wake Forest athletes apiece. Pat Blair, Matt Conway and Tim Cooney are all members of the Chatham Anglers in the Cape. Michael Dimock and Conor Keniry have teamed up with the Newport Gulls in the NECBL, while Nate Jones is playing for the Sanford Mainers.
Three other pairs of Demon Deacons have also found themselves paired up with teammates in their summer leagues. James Harris and Brian Holmes are playing for the Thomasville HiToms of the Coastal Plain League, Brett Armour and Mark Rhine are playing for the Lake Norman Copperheads of the Southern Collegiate Baseball League, and Jack Fischer and Chuck Schlegel are playing for the Amsterdam Mohawks of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League.
Left-handed hurlers Zach White and John McLeod are both playing in the Northwoods League. White is pitching for the Madison Mallards, while McLeod is pitching for the Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers.
Four Wake Forest players are the only school representatives in their respective leagues. Out in Washington, Zane Yanzick is playing for the Bellingham Bells of the West Coast League. Stephen Schoettmer, Jack Carey and Ryan Heuler are all playing along the East coast.
Schoettmer is playing for the Martha's Vineyard Sharks of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League, Carey is playing for the Baltimore Redbirds of the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League and Heuler is playing for the Winter Haven Loggerheads of the Florida Collegiate Summer League.
