WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest will face its second Tobacco Road rival in as many games, as the Demon Deacons hit the road to take on No. 4-ranked Duke on Thursday evening in Durham. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Wake Forest will play at Boston College less than 48 hours later, as the Deacons are set to take on what should be their toughest two-game turnaround of the conference season.
How to Catch the Game
Thursday's game will be nationally televised on ESPN. Mike Patrick (play-by-play), Len Elmore (color) and Jeannine Edwards (sideline) will call the action.
The game can be heard on the Wake Forest IMG College Sports Network and online at WakeForestSports.com. Stan Cotten (play-by-play) and Mark Freidinger (color) have the call.
Last Time Out
Wake Forest (10-7, 1-2 ACC) is coming off a 76-40 loss to NC State last Saturday in Winston-Salem. The Deacons trailed for the entire contest, as they dropped their second straight conference game.
C.J. Harris scored 10 points, and Ty Walker finished with eight points, seven rebounds and three blocks to lead the Deacons. A season-high 10 different players scored for Wake Forest in the game.
Today's Opponent
Duke (15-2, 3-0 ACC) is coming off a 73-66 win at Clemson on Sunday. The Blue Devils had to overcome a late rally by Clemson, which cut a 13-point lead to 68-64 in the final minute, before posting their third straight win.
Four players average in double figures scoring for Duke, led by freshman Austin Rivers with 13.8 points per game. Andre Dawkins, who came off the bench to score 24 at Clemson, leads the Blue Devils in conference play with 13.3 points per contest.
Series History
Duke leads the all-time series with Wake Forest, 158-77. The Wake Forest-Duke series is the oldest in the ACC, dating back to the 1906 season.
The series is also the league's most frequently played, as it is in its 236th all-time meeting.
In the Deacons' most recent trip to Cameron Indoor Stadium, No. 8-ranked Duke posted a 90-70 defeat of Wake Forest on Jan. 17, 2010.
Next Up...
Wake Forest will play at Boston College on Saturday, less than 48 hours after tipping off at Duke. The game in Chestnut Hill is set for a noon tip. BC is 7-10 overall and 2-1 in the ACC entering Thursday's game at NC State.
The Deacons will then return home to host Florida State on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 7 p.m. The Seminoles are 12-6 overall and 3-1 in the ACC following Tuesday's 84-70 win over Maryland in Tallahassee.
