BROWN SUMMIT, N.C. - Sophomore Olafia Kristinsdottir and freshman Marissa Dodd each posted career-best finishes as the Wake Forest women's golf team finished seventh at the Bryan National Collegiate on Sunday.

Wake Forest carded a final round 301 and finished the tournament at 31-over par.

Kristinsdottir came into the final round at 1-under par and tied fifth. She managed to make a pair of birdies in her round on Sunday but settled for a 5-over 77. She finished the event at 4-over par and tied for seventh. That ties the best finish of her career as she also finished tied for seventh at the Windy City Classic last October.

Dodd countered four bogeys with four birdies on Sunday in her final round of even-par 72. That was the lowest round for the Deacons on Sunday and it allowed her to finish tied for ninth at 5-over par. That tops her previous best finish of tied for 43rd at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate last month.

Senior Cheyenne Woods made a total of 15 pars on Sunday to go along with her sixth birdie of the weekend to close with a final round 74. She finished at 6-over par and tied for 13th.

Greta Lange also made a pair of birdies on Sunday and finished with a 78 while Allison Emrey closed with a round of 80.

Senior Hunter Ross, who played as an individual, posted her lowest round of the weekend on Sunday with a final round 77. Sophomore Michelle Hartenstein, who was playing in her first collegiate event, closed with a round of 84.

The Deacons had a strong opening nine holes as a team on Sunday and stood at even-par for the day. That was tied for the second-best round on the course at the time and it vaulted Wake into fourth place, just four-shots behind Tennessee. But the Deacons struggled a bit on the second nine to slip back.

Tennessee and Duke pulled away from the field on the second nine and would end the day tied at 18-over par. The two teams then went back to the 18th hole for a playoff. The Lady Vols made four pars on No. 18 and Duke was unable to match, giving Tennessee its first BNC title.

Individually, Duke's Lindy Duncan carded her third-straight under-par round to finish at 4-under par and claim medalist honors. She finished two shots ahead of UNC Greensboro's Fanny Cnops, who posted the best individual finish by a Spartan in tournament history.

Wake Forest will now head to the ACC Championships next weekend at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. Woods is the defending individual ACC champion. The first round is set to begin Friday morning.
