WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest women's golf coach Dianne Dailey has announced Erica Herr has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Wake Forest next fall.
"We're really excited about Erica joining our program," Dailey said. "She's not only a great player but a wonderful young lady. She will add a lot to our team and I think she can have an immediate impact."
Herr is an accomplished junior player from New Hope, Penn. She has recorded 14 AJGA top-10s and won the 2012 AJGA Philadelphia Open. She is also a Pennsylvania Junior Champion and a two-time Pennsylvania State Champion. Perhaps her best accomplishment to date is playing in the 2013 US Women's Open at the Sebonack Golf Club.
"Erica is one of the top players in her class," Dailey continued. "She's a gritty player that works really hard at her game. She played in the US Open and she won an AJGA event. She has played some big time golf and we're excited to have her."
