GREENSBORO, N.C. - Wake Forest golfers Olafia Kristinsdottir and Marissa Dodd have been named to the Academic All-ACC team as announced by the conference office on Friday.
This is Kristinsdottir third time being named to the Academic All-ACC team while Dodd takes home the honor for the second time.
Kristinsdottir, a rising-senior from Reykjavik, Iceland, was second on the team this season in scoring at 75.9. She fired a career-best 1-under 215 at the NCAA Central Regional and became just the sixth Demon Deacon to earn an individual berth to the NCAA Championship. Kristinsdottir had a team-high tying four rounds at par or better and was second on the team with 25 of 28 rounds counting towards the team score.
Dodd led the squad with a 75.5 scoring average this season. Over 91 percent of her rounds counted towards the team score and she was tied with Kristinsdottir with four rounds at par or better. She played in 10 events and had a team-high three top-20 finishes.
To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic team, a student-athlete, regardless of classification, must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
