Emily Wright Named To WGCA All Scholar Team

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest rising-junior Emily Wright was named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association's All Scholar Team this month.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics with a minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.

Wright played in eight events this year with six of them coming as a member of the team. She finished with a 78.6 scoring average and 11 of her 16 rounds for the team counted towards the team score. Wright opened the year with a season-low 72 at the Cougar Classic and also fired three solid rounds of 77-75-76 at the Bryan National Collegiate.
